Nokia's Lumia 930 is the Flagship Windows 8.1 smartphone

LUMIA BUILD 2014
Earlier today, Nokia announced two new Lumia devices at Microsoft's Build 2014 keynote. Both of the new devices (Lumia 930 and Lumia 630/635) will be the first handsets to run Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box and the Lumia 630/635 is the first windows phone device to utilize on screen buttons and it also come without a camera shutter button. The Lumia 630 comes in single and dual SIM flavours which can support 2G/3G networks.

In the other hand the Lumia 635 support LTE networks but does not come in a Dual SIM package. Additionally both of the devices will come in 5 bright Lumia colors (white, black, yellow, orange and green) and is priced very aggressively because these two devices ar targeted at emerging markets where many people are yet to own a smartphone. With these new devices it is clear that both Microsoft and Nokia are targeting the low end smartphone market after seeing the success of the Lumia 520 but the Lumia 630 is still not as affordable as the $110 Lumia 525. Additionally, the Lumia 630/635 both possess a striking back design which incorporates dual-layer shells or as nokia likes to call it ‘edge glow’  Conclusively, both of the device have identical specs and the only major difference is the dual sim support and the network support. Check out this chart below to see the full specifications of the two low-mid range Windows Phone 8.1 devices. You can read more about the design of the unique back design of the Lumia 630/635 here at Nokia’s conversations blog

The Lumia 930 in the other hand is in the same position as its predecessor, the Lumia 920. It is the flagship Windows Phone 8.1 device and basically the new refresh of the operating system is built around it. With it's 5" 1080P OLED display and 20MP Pureview camera, the Lumia 930 will most likely be able to compete with newer flagship devices like the Galaxy S5 or HTC One M8 because the difference between the Snapdragon 800 and 801 is not that much in real life tests. However, the main revelation about the Lumia 930 or any other flagship Lumia device lately is not the shiny new hardware but it's the camera. The Lumia 930 basically has the same 20MP Pureview camera as seen on the Lumia 1520 and the recently announced Verizon Lumia Icon. Although its the same sensor deep down but Nokia has introduced a twist to the software sides of things, the Lumia 930 is capable of recording videos with Dolby Surround sound via the 4 HAAC mics on the top and bottom of the device. But fret not Lumia 1520/ Lumia Icon users, Nokia has confirmed that this functionality will be brought down via the Lumia Cyan coming in Summer. In reality, the Lumia 930 is basically a Lumia Icon with 2 extra color options and comes without the Verizon branding and works with a multitude of mobile operators worldwide. However, there is actually a slight difference between the two, which is that the Lumia 930 does not feature a microSD slot (sigh...) to expand the device’s storage, but on the bright side, wireless charging is still built right into the device. Overall the Lumia 930 improves the camera experience of the Lumia 1520 by having a couple new software enhancements which indirectly makes the camera experience more enjoyable.
"deep down the Lumia 930 is undoubtedly the Lumia Icon"
